Development of a Digital Twin for Enzymatic Hydrolysis Processes

چکیده
Enzymatic hydrolysis processes can be used to produce organic nutrient media from renewable raw materials. However, many of these are not optimally designed, so expensive enzymes and substrates wasted. Mathematical models Digital Twins (DTs) powerful tools, which optimize bioprocesses and, thus, increase the yield desired products. Individual enzymatic have already been modeled, but for combined starch proteolysis, or DTs, available yet. Therefore, an easily adaptable, dynamic, mechanistic mathematical model representing kinetics process proteolysis was developed parameterized using experimental data. The simulate with agreement over 90% 85%. Subsequently, this implemented into existing DT a 20 L stirred tank reactor (STR). Since cannot only map process, also STR associated periphery (pumps, heating jacket, etc.), it is ideally suited future control strategy development thus optimization processes.

Creation of an ultra scale‐down bioreactor mimic for rapid development of lignocellulosic enzymatic hydrolysis processes
BACKGROUND Cellulosic bioethanol processes involve several steps, all of which require experimental optimisation. A significant aid to this research would be a validated ultra scale-down (USD) model that could be used to perform rapid, wide ranging screening and optimisation experiments using limited materials under process relevant conditions. RESULTS In this work, the use of 30 mL shaken co...
متن کاملEnzymatic hydrolysis of steam exploded corncob residues after pretreatment in a twin-screw extruder
A modified twin-screw extruder incorporated with a filtration device was used as a liquid/solid separator for xylose removal from steam exploded corncobs. A face centered central composite design was used to study the combined effects of various enzymatic hydrolysis process variables (enzyme loading, surfactant addition, and hydrolysis time) with two differently extruded corncobs (7% xylose rem...
متن کاملEnhancing Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Cellulose by Ultrasonic Pretreatment
Slurries of rice-straw cellulose (obtained by delignification and removal of hemicelluloses from the powdered raw material) were subjected to ultrasonic waves at different intensities for various times (constant temperature). Susceptibility of the samples to cellulose-hydrolysis increased initially with pretreatment time, reaching a maximum or a constant level thereafter. Maximum glucose yi...
متن کاملEffects of Condition Enzymatic Hydrolysis on Degrees of Hydrolysis and Antioxidant Activity of Head Protein of Bighead (Aristichthys nobilis)
Background and Objectives: Enzymatic hydrolysis is an effective practical technology that recovers valuable proteins from far-less farmed fish without losing their nutritional characteristics. Enzymatic hydrolysis of protein sources such as aquatic animals is a type of protein recycling. In the present study, effects of temperature, time and concentration of papain enzyme on hydrolysis degree a...
متن کاملThe enzymatic hydrolysis of glucuronolactone.
Studies over the past 20 years on the metabolism of carbohydrates have implicated glucuronolactone as a precursor of several compounds of physiological interest; namely, L-xylulose (1, 2), ascorbic acid (3, 4), and furan2,5-dicarboxylic acid (5). Studies in viva from two laboratories, demonstrating that mammalian tissues can oxidize glucuronolactone to CO2 (6) but fail to oxidize glucuronic aci...
